Short answer: A mortgage website builder should be evaluated as the first step in an inquiry-to-record workflow. Test what a visitor sees, what information enters the record, who owns the next action, where a person reviews the context, and how a duplicate or incomplete inquiry is corrected. A template or feature label does not establish account-specific behavior.

Review the visitor path and the record path together
A website is not useful merely because it looks finished. A loan officer should be able to trace one representative inquiry from a public page through the accountable next action. That includes the information a visitor is asked to provide, the stated purpose of the page, the owner who reviews the inquiry, and the process for exceptions.
| Review point | What to inspect | Question to answer |
|---|---|---|
| Public context | The page purpose, current business information, and the visitor action being requested. | Can a visitor understand what this page is for before providing information? |
| Inquiry capture | The information requested, the stated reason it is collected, and the route into the record. | What context arrives with the inquiry? |
| Record ownership | The responsible person, visible source, status, and next review action. | Who is accountable for the first response or review? |
| Human review | A representative inquiry with missing, duplicate, conflicting, or changed details. | What pauses, who reviews it, and how is the correction recorded? |
| Written scope | Current documentation for the proposed site, workflow, permissions, and relevant account setup. | What is actually confirmed for this account? |
A five-inquiry test
- An ordinary inquiry to confirm source and first ownership.
- An incomplete inquiry to check the review path.
- A duplicate to check correction.
- A referral inquiry to inspect relationship context.
- An inquiry that should not continue in the expected path.
This is not a forecast of traffic, applications, or revenue. It is a way to determine whether the public page and the internal record workflow can be inspected before the team relies on it.
Video evidence: visible record and next-action context
This public BNTouch walkthrough is a product example. Use it to review whether a responsible person can locate the inquiry record and identify a next action. Confirm current configuration, permissions, and written scope for the account under review.
