The two ways to get CRM + Encompass working together
If you originate loans on Encompass and want a mortgage CRM, you have two paths in 2026:
Path 1: Stay inside the ICE platform (Surefire + Encompass)
ICE Mortgage Technology bundles Encompass (LOS) with Surefire (CRM). They pitch single-vendor convenience. Trade-off: when both your CRM and LOS are owned by the same company, your data, integration priorities, and roadmap all serve ICE first. ICE is currently force-migrating Encompass CRM customers to Surefire as of January 2025, which is its own customer-disruption event.
Path 2: Independent CRM with Encompass integration (BNTouch)
BNTouch is independent. The Encompass integration is one of several LOS integrations BNTouch maintains (LendingPad, BytePro, Calyx, Arive, Floify also supported). The CRM works the same way regardless of which LOS you use, which means you keep the flexibility to switch LOS without switching CRM.
How BNTouch + Encompass actually integrates
Lead flow (CRM to LOS)
When a lead in BNTouch is ready to apply, the contact data (name, email, phone, employment, address, loan parameters) pushes to Encompass to start the loan file. The LO does not retype anything. The contact stays connected: any update to the loan in Encompass flows back to the CRM contact record.
Funded-loan flow (LOS to CRM)
When a loan funds in Encompass, BNTouch receives the funded event and updates the contact to “funded” status. Post-close drip campaigns automatically activate (5-year, 10-year, 15-year retention sequences). Credit-pull monitoring switches on if you have it enabled.
Pipeline status updates
Loan stage changes in Encompass (Application, Processing, Underwriting, Closing) push to BNTouch so the CRM pipeline reflects current loan-file state. The LO does not have to update two systems.
What you give up by leaving the ICE platform
Some Encompass-CRM-to-Surefire customers ask what they lose by going to BNTouch instead. The honest answer:
- The single-vendor support contact (BNTouch handles CRM, ICE handles Encompass)
- The deepest possible integration between specific Encompass features and Surefire features that share the same backend
What you keep or gain:
- Independence from ICE’s broader product strategy
- The ability to switch LOS later without switching CRM
- Lower per-seat cost (Surefire $150+/seat vs BNTouch Team $95/seat)
- Same-day setup vs 30-90 day ICE migration
- White Glove migration help included with annual plans
Migrating from Encompass CRM to BNTouch
BNTouch has a dedicated White Glove migration team for Encompass CRM customers. 30-day timeline from kickoff to fully live, including data export from Encompass, field mapping, LOS integration setup, and team training. Pricing for the migration is included with any BNTouch annual plan.
Frequently asked
Is the BNTouch + Encompass integration real-time?
Yes for most events. Status changes and loan updates flow within minutes. Bulk record syncs (initial migration, large updates) run in batches.
Will the integration break if Encompass updates?
BNTouch maintains the Encompass integration as Encompass evolves. ICE has occasionally introduced changes that require integration partner updates; BNTouch has historically updated within 14 days of major Encompass releases.
Can BNTouch integrate with multiple LOS systems at once?
Yes for shops that use more than one LOS (some brokerages do). BNTouch can be configured with multiple LOS connectors simultaneously, with routing rules to determine which loan goes to which LOS.
