During the past two weeks, we’ve visited several marketing conferences looking for the very best marketing practices. We want to take these cutting-edge marketing practices to our subscribers so they can apply them to their businesses.
We’ve been traveling all across the country, from New York to Nashville to San-Francisco, and here are the three main marketing trends of 2017:
– It is all about the customer. We’ve entered an age where marketing has transformed from telling to listening. If you’re not listening to your clients, not fulfilling their needs and not communicating through channels that are appropriate to them – you’re out of business. This is especially true for the biggest upcoming buying force in the country – millennials.
– It is all about authenticity. Make sure that you tell an honest, authentic story about your brand and yourself throughout all of your marketing channels. People these days are not buying the “default” marketing message the we were taught in school; they are buying based on the experience of others. If you can provide an awesome experience for the borrower’s mortgage journey, rest assured that your business will prosper on referrals.
– It is all about analytics. There are several channels that you receive your leads from: lead providers, social, websites, referrals, portals, etc. You need to analyze all of your channels to see which are performing the best, and which ones you can improve.
