The Only Mortgage CRM Not Owned by a LOS or Data Conglomerate
Three of the five named mortgage CRMs changed ownership in the last 18 months. BNTouch didn’t. Here’s the M&A landscape, what it means for your data, and why platform independence matters more in 2026 than it did a decade ago.
Quick Answer
BNTouch is the only mortgage CRM in the top 5 that remains independent. Surefire is now part of ICE Mortgage Technology. Bonzo was acquired by MMI in 2024. Aidium was acquired by Lendware in October 2025 (its third brand change in four years). When your CRM is owned by your LOS provider or your data provider, your data, integrations, and roadmap serve their priorities first. When your CRM is independent, those serve yours.
The 2024-2026 M&A wave in mortgage CRM
| CRM | Owner (2026) | Status | What changed for customers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surefire (Top of Mind Networks) | ICE Mortgage Technology | Absorbed into ICE platform | topofmind.com/resources now redirects to ICE’s domain. Encompass CRM customers are being force-migrated onto Surefire starting January 2025. |
| Bonzo | Mobility Market Intelligence (MMI) | Integration phase | Consolidated with MonitorBase and MMI’s data products. Roadmap aligning to MMI’s broader stack rather than Bonzo’s original product direction. |
| Aidium (formerly Daily AI, originally Whiteboard) | Lendware (acquired Oct 7, 2025) | Third brand change in 4 years | Former CEO Spencer Dusebout removed by Peakspan Capital. Former President Dan Bos stepped down May 2025. New leadership, new brand, new platform direction. |
| BNTouch | Independent | Operating since 2003 | 22 years, one focus: building the mortgage CRM. No parent company priorities, no acquisition integration roadmap, no forced migrations. |
Why “Independent” Actually Matters
1. Your data stays your data
When your CRM is owned by a Loan Origination System (LOS) provider, your contact data, pipeline data, and marketing activity sit inside the LOS company’s broader monetization stack. When your CRM is owned by a data company like MMI, the same logic applies: the data you put in becomes raw material for their data products. An independent CRM doesn’t have that gravity. Your data exists for you, not for a parent company’s secondary revenue line.
2. Integrations don’t have a thumb on the scale
An ICE-owned CRM is going to make integration with Encompass (an ICE product) frictionless. Integration with LendingPad (a competitor LOS) will exist, but the development team’s prioritization is going to favor the in-house stack. An independent CRM has no incentive to bias integration depth. BNTouch’s integration list includes Encompass, LendingPad, BytePro, Calyx, Arive, Floify, and Zillow Tech Connect with the same prioritization across all of them.
3. Roadmap follows customer feedback, not corporate strategy
When a CRM gets acquired, the roadmap shifts within 12-18 months to align with the parent company’s broader product strategy. Sometimes that’s good for customers; usually it means the features specific to mortgage workflows get deprioritized in favor of features that integrate with the parent’s other products. An independent mortgage CRM has only one strategic question to answer: “what do mortgage customers need next?”
4. No forced migrations
ICE’s announcement that Encompass CRM is being sunset, with customers force-migrated to Surefire starting January 2025, is a real example of what happens when your CRM is a feature in a bigger company’s portfolio rather than the product. An independent CRM doesn’t have that risk vector.
What “Mortgage-Native + Independent” Means in Practice
- Built for mortgage from day one, 2003. Not a general CRM with a mortgage skin. The workflows (loan stages, credit-pull alerts, refinance triggers, listed-property alerts, post-close automation) were designed for the way loan officers actually work.
- 1,000+ mortgage offices. Not 1,000 customers across 12 verticals. 1,000 mortgage shops specifically.
- Transparent pricing. Individual $165/mo, Team $95/seat (2-user min), Enterprise custom. Month-to-month, no setup fee. Most competitors hide pricing behind demo gates.
- White Glove migration support. Coming from another CRM? The BNTouch team handles the data import, field mapping, and onboarding so you’re live in 30 days, not 90.
Considering BNTouch After Your Current CRM Got Acquired?
If you’re currently on Encompass CRM (being sunset by ICE), Surefire (now part of ICE), Bonzo (now under MMI), or Aidium / Lendware (just rebranded for the third time), and you want a path off the migration treadmill: that’s exactly what BNTouch’s White Glove team specializes in.

Is BNTouch going to get acquired too?
We can’t promise the future. What we can say: BNTouch has operated independently since 2003. The company has been profitable for years. There’s no PE-backed pressure to exit. The owner (Yuri Polukeev) leads the company day-to-day and the strategy isn’t built around a near-term sale.
How is BNTouch funded?
Customer revenue. BNTouch is bootstrapped, profitable, and not dependent on a venture or private-equity funding cycle that would force an exit. This is different from Aidium (PE-backed via Peakspan Capital, which appointed and removed CEOs based on portfolio strategy) and from Bonzo (now MMI-funded with MMI roadmap pressure).
What if I’m currently on Encompass CRM and ICE is force-migrating me to Surefire?
BNTouch’s White Glove team handles Encompass CRM data exports, field-mapping into BNTouch, and onboarding. Most customers are fully live on BNTouch within 30 days. There’s no obligation to follow the ICE-imposed migration path.
Does BNTouch integrate with my LOS?
Yes. BNTouch has documented integrations with Encompass, LendingPad, BytePro, Calyx Point, Arive, and Floify, plus Zillow Tech Connect for lead capture. Because BNTouch is independent, none of these get prioritized over the others.
