HFOT is a nonprofit organization that builds mortgage-free, specially adapted homes for severely injured Veterans Post – 9/11. These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country. And enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar has gone directly to our program services for Veterans. HFOT also builds homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
Marine Sergeant Toran Gaal has no recollection of the incident that occurred on June 26, 2011. An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated beneath him, resulting in the loss of both leg and severe brain injury.

Marine Corporal Joshua Langston-White was on his first deployment serving with the 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, when he stepped on a pressure plate improvised explosive device (IED) in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
